27. 27W A Louis XIV walnut and fruitwood bureau Mazarin, part late 17th century, probably Grenoble
The rectangular top with moulded border later lined with brown leather, the front inlaid with contrasting scrolling foliate motifs opening with a frieze drawer above a kneehole door flanked by three small drawers to each side, the panelled sides with lozenges motif, above turned tapering legs joined by two shaped x-stretchers and on toupie feet, 119cm wide, 62cm deep, 82cm high (46 1/2in wide, 24in deep, 32in high).
