286. 286W A good early 18th century quarter repeating table clock movement now in a later case Joseph Windmills, London The 8.5 inch arched brass dial with stylised wheatear border, a date aperture to the arch set over the horizontal upper case signature, Roman and Arabic chapter ring with half-quarter marks, matted centre with mock pendulum aperture. The possibly associated movement with twin gut fusees, verge escapement striking the hours on a bell and repeating the quarters on demand on six bells and hammers.
