These two references have the quick date change, which is carried out by unscrewing the crown and, after having extracted it to the first click, rotating the crown counter-clockwise. The Submariner Date in stainless steel will remain in production until 1988, whilst the gold model until 1987. To upgrade the appearance of the dial; several gold versions of the Submariner and GMT Master were fitted with gold chaton markers in which the luminescent was placed, instead of the regular directly applied luminescent dots and batons as found on the steel versions.
