Marque et époque Qianlong (1736-1795)
A GREEN-ENAMELLED 'DRAGON' SAUCER DISH
Qianlong six-character seal mark and of the period
Well potted with rounded sides, pencilled in black and enamelled in deep translucent green in a central medallion with a scaly dragon pursuing a flaming pearl, repeated in a frieze of two green dragons around the exterior, on a finely incised ground of rocks and cresting waves, all between two green enamel line borders, the base with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue.
17.4cm (6 7/8in) diam.
