A Meissen teapot and cover, circa 1724
Each side superbly painted with a Chinoiserie scene, one side with a dragon, within a gilt scrollwork quatrefoil cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red scrollwork, the spout with mask terminal flanked by indianische Blumen, the handle and spout similarly painted with flower sprigs, the domed cover with a continuous Chinoiserie scene, 12.5cm high, K.P.M. and crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 59. to both (2)
