4. 4R Two Raqqa underglaze-painted pottery bowls Syria, 13th Century each of rounded form on splayed feet, decorated in black under a turquoise glaze, one with inscription, the other with vegetal motifs each 11.1 cm. diam.(2) Provenance Formerly in a private French Collection, Paris, acquired prior to 1990. Inscriptions: possibly al-barakah, 'Blessing'.
