41. 41W An Italian repoussé gilt-metal mounted fruitwood veneered commode, Tuscany, late 18th-early 19th century The Spanish brocatella and verde marble marble top above two long drawers inlaid with oval reserves and repoussé later mounts, with simulated angle fluting, the sides with quarter-veneered inlaid oval reserves, and on square tapering legs terminating in small sabots, the lower drawer later fitted with beige suede storing racks and two compartments, the marble top of later date, 135cm wide, 68cm deep, 104cm high (53in wide, 26 1/2in deep, 40 1/2in high).
