Exhibited and Published: NS19, p.60, no.88. A mythical creature similar to the kirin, the suisei is rarely seen depicted in Japanese art. It is a zoomorphic juncture, having the cloven hooves of a deer, the head of a horse, a turtleshell on its back, and two horns. This iteration, however, has one long and two short horns.
