His education included studying the use of light and shadow, dynamic composition, and detailed rendering of figures and landscapes. Fouché became known for his ability to bring mythological and allegorical subjects to life, creating vivid and engaging scenes. His paintings often feature detailed natural elements and expressive human figures, reflecting the artistic trends of the Baroque period. It has been suggested that the present paintings are part of the allegorical representations of the four elements: Iris would represented the Air, while flore the Earth.
