46. An Armenian pewter pilgrim flask Turkey, 18th Century decorated with a mounted warrior to each side, the edges with scrolling floral vine, screw top 12.4 cm. high A similar example depicting Saint George and dated AH 1150/ AD 1711 is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (object number 06.840). The shape is reminiscent of pottery flasks produced in Kutahya in the 18th Century.
