47. 47AR ISABELLE DE BORCHGRAVE(1946-2024) Niki Titled, signed and numbered 7/10 Sculpture in paper, acrylic and gouache 145 x 130 cm Isabelle de Borchgrave created this coat after a trip to Turkey, inspired by a Suzani collection. Suzani fabrics were rich in colour and technical detail. Suzani motifs were hand-sewn to create embellished and carefully crafted embroideries. Isabelle de Borchgrave took the codes of these fabrics and, with her mastery of detail and colour, created this coat, which has been exhibited many times since 2004.
