MANJU NETSUKE EN BOIS REPRÉSENTANT UN DRAGON Par Naito Toyomasa (1773-1856), Tanba, milieu du XIXe siècle A WOOD MANJU NETSUKE OF A DRAGON By Naito Toyomasa (1773-1856), Tanba, mid-19th century Finely carved and pierced, the dragon curled around to form a manju, its body licked by large flames, the wood stained dark, the one visible eye inlaid in pale horn; signed Toyomasa nanaju-sai (Toyomasa, 70 years old). 4.1cm (1 5/8in) diam. 木彫饅頭根付 竜 銘「豊昌七拾歳」 19世紀中期 Provenance: Purchased from Bernard Fournier, March 1985.
