6. * A carved oak group of the Coronation of the Virgin, Germany, Westphalia, Cologne, circa 1350 Studying this group, we have in head the famous Parisian ivory appliqué group from the mid-thirteenth century depicting the Coronation of the Virgin, conserved in the Musée du Louvre (OA 58). Although later, our group has stylistic similarities in terms of proportions and gestures to the ivory. 36 wide, 47cm high (14in wide, 18 1/2in high) Provenance Hans Lampaert, Netherlands, 26th November 2010
