BHAISAJYAGURU BUDDHA STATUETTE MONGOLIA, ZANABAZAR SCHOOL, 18th century A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA BHAISAJYAGURU Mongolia, School of Zanabazar, 18th century Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rims, hands in dhyana mudra holding an alm's bowl, dressed in a diaphanous sanghati with a patterned hem, the folds elegantly draped over his right shoulder and gathering in ample folds below the ankles, the face with heavy-lidded almond-shaped eyes and bow-shaped mouth centered by a raised urna, the hair arranged in tight curls over the prominent ushnisha, richly gilt overall, the based sealed and gilt with a double-vajra. 15.5cm (6 1/8in) high. 蒙古 扎那巴扎爾風格 十八世紀 鎏金銅藥師佛坐像 Provenance: Acquired on April 12th, 2000 in Hong Kong.
