67. A rare and unusual 18th century gold and glass mounted etui
unmarked apart from later French control marks
Typical tapering form, the sides set with panels of opaque glass moulded with a ropetwist water fall effect, the gold mounts engraved with birds and animals amongst architectural scrolls, the interior fitted with a knife with agate handle, a gold ear bodkin, gold handled scissors, a gold pen nib, a gold ear pick and a steel pair of tweezers, height 8.3cm, weight gross 135gms.
