A rare early 18th Century Peruvian gold snuff box unmarked, circa 1725-1750 Rectangular, the domed lid with cast and engraved of Baroque stylised animals around a stylised scallop shell, each corner capped with cartouches with further stylised animals, the underside with an engraved scene of a Bird hunt, with hunter and fox, with a bird on a rope, with South American landscape behind with river and a town. , length 7.5 cm, weight 146.5gms.
