A rare and early Meissen waste bowl, circa 1723 Painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene depicting large-scale figures engaged in various amusing pursuits with buildings and a lake in the distance and birds in flight overhead, the inside with a circular scene in iron-red camaieu depicting a chinoiserie figure flanked by a tree and flowers within concentric circles, gilt-edged rims, 18cm across; 7.5cm high (large piece restuck to one side)
