A WOOD NETSUKE OF FUKUROKUJU

Standing and smiling, leaning slightly forward under the weight of the karako (Chinese boy) clambering over the furoshiki (wrapping cloth) tied around his exaggeratedly long head, his arms folded in front of his chest and hidden within his long sleeves; signed with a small incised character Tsuji. 5.2cm (2in) high.
