80. Christian DIOR, Haute Couture collection, circa 1952. Cocktail set in black silk brocade. Designed by Christian DIOR. With large rocaille and floral motifs inspired by eighteenth-century designs in gold and silver thread. It consists of a top with small sleeves, V-neckline, two darts open at the neckline, single breasted, a straight mid-length skirt with small darts, waist marked by a belt, and a fitted jacket with a tailored collar partially covered in black velvet, single breasted with three buttons covered in the same fabric, 3/4 length sleeves with lapels. Slight wear to the top neckline. White label, black graphics.
