A 19th century aventurine glass, enamel gold 750°/°°cage-mounted snuff box apparently unmarked apart from later straps stamped 18k, with French control mark Rectangular with canted corners, the lid centred on an enamel portrait of a man in wig and robes with order around neck, set in a foliate frame, surrounded by pierced foliate scrolling, the frame with engraved scrolling, length 9.4cm, weight gross 184.8gms.
