Kitae (forging pattern): running itamehada
Hamon (tempering pattern): chōji gunome midare in nie and nioi
Bōshi (tip): komaru
Nakago (tang): ubu with one hole, indistinct file marks and signed Echizen no jū Soyō no kami Fujiwara Kunitsuna
Habaki (collar): one-piece gilt-copper
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 62.5cm
Wakizashi:
Sugata (configuration): honzukuri, iorimune, ōgissaki, deep toriizori
Kitae (forging pattern): itamehada in jinie
Hamon (tempering pattern): chōji midare in nie
Bōshi (tip): komaru with a long return
Nakago (tang): ubu with one hole, kiri yasurime file marks, and signed Bushū Edo ni oite kore o saku Nanban tetsu Echizen Yasutsugu and with an aoimon (hollyhock crest)
Habaki (collar): one-piece, gilt copper
Nagasa (length from tip to beginning of tang): 39cm
The koshira-e comprising black-lacquer ribbed saya, the wakizashi fitted with a shakudō and gilt kozuka decorated with dragons, the tsuka both fitted with shakudō nanakoji fuchigashira decorated with gold dragons, and menuki formed as dragons, the shakudō mokkōgata tsuba with gold dragons in waves
