A 22k gold rosary “Rosenkranz III”
Designed as a long strand of red tropical seeds (Adenantha Pevomina Brasilien) alternating with tiny gold rings, gadrooned gold pine cone motifs and pierced silver pater noster beads strung on violet silk threads. The connecting element designed as a snarling dog's head picked out in enamels, the semi-circular ebonised wood base of the necklace encrusted with red coral (corallium rubrum). The ebonised wood pendant formed as a cross inset with a central flowerhead motif. Includes the original box.
Total L 48.5 cm. Chain L 68 cm. Cross 3.5 x 3 cm. L of dog's head 2.5 cm. Total weight 58.51 g.
