A beautiful shashka with gilded decorations dating: circa 1800 provenance: Caucasia, Curved, flat blade of fine damask, round at the back; typically shaped, iron grip entirely decorated with gold inlaid floral motifs; wooden scabbard with leather covering and iron mounts decorated en suite, two flower-shaped bands convex at the center, one provided with a suspension ring, the other with a loop at the back. length 91.5 cm.
