A BROWN AGATE ACHAEMENID ORNAMENT, CIRCA 500 BC
An extraordinary brown agate ornament from the Achaemenid period, circa 500 B.C. This meticulously crafted piece features three soldiers in detailed relief, all standing and facing left. Both ends of the ornament are adorned with intricately carved twelve-petaled flowers, centering around a piercing that fully pass through the object.
