Southern Vietnam, possibly 6th-7th century (height 100 cm) (defects and missing parts) This sculpture may be carved from Sao wood and is stylistically linked to the Oc Eo culture of southern Vietnam in the Mekong Delta, where a port of the Funan culture flourished between the 2nd and 12th centuries, which may have been known to the Greeks and Romans as Cattigara.
