A CARVING, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 19TH-20TH CENTURY The coral carving depicts Mo Liqing (魔礼青), the leader of the four generals of the Mo family. This imposing figure, standing two zhang and four chi tall (approximately 8 metres), has a face resembling a live crab and whiskers as fine as copper threads. In the sculpture, Mo Liqing wields a tiger-headed spear and carries the precious sword Qingyun, which bears a special inscription. The sword is engraved with four characters representing 'Earth, Water, Fire, Wind,' and it holds magical powers that can unleash black winds and intense flames. Legend has it that anyone who encounters this blade will be reduced to dust.
