A composite half armour in Pisan style dating: 1570 - 1580 provenance: North Italy, Pointed morion (height 27,5 cm.) in one piece, ribbed in the center, with a small tip at the peak, sloping brim with hemmed border. The surface decorated with eight bands, engraved with figures, vases, parts of armour and floral and geometrical motifs. Various old repairs, some are certainly old, gilding applied in recent era. Gorget with four neckguard and three nape-guard plates. Fine breast-plate, ribbed in the center, with neckline and gussets (riveted) with raised and twisted border, decorated with seven bands, raised and richly engraved, central medallion portraying a hearing of a knight by the king, flanked by winged figures, other medallions with figures among floral and geometrical bands, a folding, lance rest on the right side. Complete with back-plate, pauldrons, forearms with knuckle-shields and tassets, all decorated in a similar way and with modern gilding. height as shown circa 106 cm.
