A finely Chinese porcelain famille rose 'warriors on horseback' Nankin vase mounted table lamp. The vase features a hand-painted design with colorful depictions of traditional Chinese figures, including a warrior on horseback, figure holding a red flag and few soldiers. The background includes a traditional landscape with buildings, trees, and floral motifs. The combination of an antique porcelain vase with ornate bronze mounts was a common practice in 19th-Century france, particularly during the louis xv and louis xvi revival periods.
