A FRAMED ALHAMBRA GESSO ARCHITECTURAL MODEL Granada, Spain, Ca. 19th century AD . A finely detailed gesso architectural model depicting a section of the Alhambra’s intricate Nasrid-style plasterwork, framed within a 19th/early 20th-century mount. The model showcases elaborate arabesques, geometric patterns, and Kufic calligraphy characteristic of Andalusian Islamic art, with a row of blind horseshoe arches set within richly ornamented panels. The upper section is adorned with repeating inscriptions, while the lower part features a trompe-l'œil alcove framing a mounted figure. Likely created as a souvenir or study piece during the period, this model reflects the enduring fascination with the architectural grandeur of the Alhambra. In a later giltwood frame.
