BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI.
Nepal, 14th century H 13.5 cm.
Fire-gilt copper alloy, slightly rubbed. Powerful figure on a plastically modelled double lotus throne. The right hand touches the earth, the left lies open on the soles of the feet. The urna on the forehead was originally decorated with a tulip. Closed.
