A GOLD AND BLACK LACQUER BUTSUDAN (BUDDHIST ALTAR).
Japan, Meiji period, 47 Χ 41 x 120.5 cm, figure 21 cm.
Ancestral shrine with engraved metal fittings and makie decoration, the upper part is fitted with double hinged doors. The inside features a seated Buddha figure under a richly decorated canopy; lotus decoration adorns the sliding doors of the compartment below. The base with two drawers and an inner compartment behind painted sliding doors.

Japan, Meiji-Zeit, 47 Χ 41 x 120,5 cm, Figur 21 cm.
Ahnenschrein mit gravierten Metallbeschlδgen, Gold- und Schwarzlack. Im Innern ruht eine sitzende Buddhafigur unter einem reich beschmόckten Baldachin, Lotosblumen zieren die Schiebetόren des Faches darunter. Im Sockel sind zwei Schubladen und ein Innenfach hinter bemalten Schiebetόren.
