A kilij (pala) dating: 18th Century provenance: Turkey, With a single-and-false-edged, damask steel blade with a T-shaped back, ribbed and grooved at the center. Decorated with gilt cartouches at the base featuring remains of Arabic inscriptions and decorated with floral motifs. Remains of decorations also at the tip of the back. Cross-shaped, brass hilt decorated with floral motifs, horn grip with an angled pommel. Wooden scabbard covered with leather stitched with copper wire, decorated with brass mounts decorated en suite, and three suspension rings, one of which added later. length 85 cm.
