A knight's sword
dating: 14th Century
provenance: Europe, Straight, double-edged blade, with wide fuller on three quarter of its length, worked in lozenge section at the weak.
With remains of brass-coloured inlays in the shape of a forked cross within a circle at the forte, on one side; the wolf of Passau on the opposite side. Bar-shaped, iron quillon, slightly enlarged at the center and with quillons of square section. Tang tapering upwards. Round pommel enlarged at the centre. length 94 cm.
