A magnificent Nymphenburg porcelain platter related to the court service Scalloped platter with a thick, moulded rim. Finely painted to one side of the well with a bouquet alongside two single flowers, a yellow moth and two beetles. The rim with seven flowers, two moths, and a caterpillar. Rocaille decor picked out in blue and gold, gilt rocaille border. Impressed rhombus mark and MB. With a scratch and localised losses of pigment to the blue flowers. D 31.2 cm. Around 1760 – 65, décor attributed to Johann Zächenberger. Provenance Private collection, Palatinate. Prachtvolle Platte aus dem Umkreis des Hofservices Porzellan, polychromer Emaildekor, Vergoldung. Fassonierte Tellerform, mit profiliertem, verdicktem Rand. Seitlich im Spiegel ein großer, äußerst fein gemalter, dichter Strauß, daneben zwei kleine Einzelblüten, ein gelber Falter und zwei Käfer. Um die Fahne sieben Einzelblumen, zwei Falter und eine Raupe. Rocaillendekor blaugold anstaffiert, mit goldener Rocaillenspitze. Pressmarke Rautenschild, MB.
