A Mecheln alabaster relief with the Adoration of the Magi, second half 16th century This pierced high relief depicts the Virgin sitting on the left holding the Christ Child in Her hands. On Her right we see the three Magi presenting their gifts, accompanied by angels. The fine quality of this work is evident in both the composition and the details. With remnants of presumably partial gilding and polychromy 15.5 x 20 x 4 cm Wear with very minor losses. South German private collection.
