A medieval sword
dating: first quarter of the 12th Century
provenance: Germany, Wide, straight, double-edged blade, slightly grooved at the center, remains of writing; grip with trapezoidal tang, straight quillon with round quillons enlarging toward the edges; big, oval pommel; remains of silver decorations with rays on one side, very few remains on the opposite side. Fine consistency and beautiful, solid shape.
