A naval yatagan with silver mounts dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Single-edged blade of typical shape, with floral engraving on the right side and Arabic inscriptions, Arabic mark and floral motifs on the opposite side. Grip covered with engraved and nieloed silver foil (defects) with small ears. Beautiful silver scabbard richly embossed with a sailing ship, trophies, palaces and floral motifs, cap with braided rings. Suspension ring. Chape with monster's head. length 76.3 cm.
