A nice ear-dagger dating: 16th Century provenance: Italy Straight, double-edged blade, ribbed at the centre, at the tang fine gold inlays depicting leaves; the centre of the iron hilt decorated en suite, grey horn quillon-block, silver grip scales covered with bone plates along the grip and dark horn at the outer surface of the ears; the inside surface engraved with shell.
