A PAIR OF BOW EARRINGS - former Kofler-Truniger collection Probably Middle East or Egypt, 6th–7th century AD. Gold (77–79%) wire, the lower part with a semicircular braided gold band, with gold granule triangles. Ø 2.5 cm. Total weight ca. 3.5 g. Small losses to the triangles. 1 small repair to the braided band. Provenance: - Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1903–1990 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1964 (inv. no. K725E). - Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974. - By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne. Exhibited: Kunsthaus Zurich, Collection E. and M.
