A PAIR OF CANDLESTICKS
Paris, 1779/80. Maker's mark Joseph-Théodore Van Cauwenbergh alias Vancombert.
Round, retracted foot. Fluted baluster shaft decorated with acanthus leaves. Vase-shaped, gadrooned and profiled nozzle. The foot features a medallion engraved with a coat of arms.
H 27 cm; 1,410 g.
Drip pans probably replaced.
