A pair of cased percussion target pistols dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Rifled, octagonal, damascened and browned, 8 mm cal. barrels, the bases engraved with floral motifs, provided with precision sight. Engraved tangs with sight. Forward spring lock finely engraved with floral motifs. Three-quarter, wooden butts carved with floral motifs in relief at the front (one with crack) and with grooves at the butts, marked '1' and '2' at the back. Iron mounts decorated en suite, trigger guards with finger support, triggers with integrated, working set trigger. Kept in wooden box lined in red cloth with all tools. length 42 cm.
