A PAIR OF MOUNTED DECORATIVE VASES Louis XVI, France, late 18th century. White/gray/brown speckled marble vase with a gilt bronze mount. The handle shaped like entwined branches with leaves and an acanthus leaf base on a profiled trumpet foot decorated with laurel garlands. The spout with a ring (not original) as a candle holder. On a square “Brocatello” marble base. H 25 cm. Gilding rubbed and with losses. Weiss/grau/braun gesprenkelte Marmorvase mit vergoldeter Bronzemontierung. Henkel in Form von verzwirbeltem Geäst mit Blättern sowie Akanthusblattbasis auf profiliertem Trompetenfuss mit Lorbeergirlanden. Ergänzter Ring im Ausguss als Kerzenhalter. Auf quadratischem "Brocatello"-Sockel. H 25 cm. Vergoldung berieben und mit Fehlstellen. Risse an der Bronze (insbesondere an einem Henkel). 1 Ring am Ausguss lose.
