A partizan of the personal guard of King Victor Amadeus II of Savoy
dating: circa 1700
provenance: Sardinian Kingdom, Double-edged cusp-blade ribbed at the centre, convex border and base with one half-moon-shaped wing, finely engraved with the crowned monogram 'VA' among floral motifs on a side, and a royal coat of arms surrounded by the crowned collar of the Order of the Most Holy Annunciation among floral motifs, on the other. Cylindrical socket with straps.
Antique haft covered with brass rivets and rosettes. height 223 cm.
