A rare and fine partially gilt bronze sculpture with gold marquetry representing Tsong-Khapa, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period (1736-1795) Tsong-Khapa is a Tibetan religious philosopher who lived between the 14th and the 15th century. In the history of Buddhism, this figure is so important that it is represented together with the emperor Qianlong in a painting of the Imperial Palace.
