A RARE Chinese carved wooden or aloeswood 'champion' double-vase, The cups are made of two connected styles, with eight sides and high feet. The rim is carved with Kuifeng patterns, and the outer wall is carved with an eagle and a bear entangled between the two cups to form a connection. The eagle has ears on its face, its wings spread out, and its tail feathers are slender, curling behind the cup. The bear has a strange and ancient appearance, twisting its body to support itself. Eagle and bear are homophones for "hero/champion". The wedding cup is usually a connected double-cylinder shape, which means that the two cups are connected and will never be separated.
