A rare ensamble for an officer of the Imperial Guard
dating: first quarter of the 20th Century
provenance: Russian Empire
Gilded helmet in thin, tombac plate, the peak with a big, silver, double eagle, a silver St. Andrew order's star, with enameled center. Silver chin-strap with convex scales. Officer's cockade. Lined with blue silk, with leather sweat-band, brim lined with black velvet, neck-plates in blue velvet. Repairs at the cap's peak. The cuirass (breast-plate 38 cm height, back - 44 cm) in tombac (stained surface) with round rivets, the border with red rope, breast-plate with scaled cross-belts, lined with red fabric. Red, leather belt. Both lined with leather. height 35 cm.
