A rare pair of cased silver-stock percussion pistols by Campbell dating: 1840 circa provenance: Scotland, Smoothbore, two-stage, silver, 11 mm cal. barrels richly engraved with floral and geometrical motifs; iron locks and cocks signed 'CAMPBELL' and finely engraved with floral motifs. Full, silver stocks decorated en suite, the butts decorated with trophies, the butt-plates typically open with button at the centre in blued iron. Triggers shaped as a ball. Iron belt hooks and ramrods. Kept in its antique wooden case (small damages and missing parts) lined with velvet and with label of James Collins in London. Provided with screwdriver and bullet molds. Very rare. length 26 cm.
