A rare percussion pistol prototype
dating: 1856
provenance: USA, Heavy, two-shot, 10.4 mm cal. barrel of elliptical section, over-and-under barrels made out of one piece, marked 'DERRINCER B.L.F. 1856' on one side, provided with foresight and sight. Smooth, percussion, backward spring locks, smooth frame with lever to raise the barrel. Interesting selective fire on the back of the butt, working in three ways: single shot (two ways) and double shot. Wooden grip. Iron ramrod with spring above the barrels. length 33.5 cm.
