Carved standing with one knee slightly bent, the right hand resting on the thigh and the left holding up a large serpent, the serene face with gently arched eyebrows above heavy-lidded almond-shaped eyes and full lips forming a subtle smile, the long hair arranged in spiraling curls. Provenance: Belgian private collection, by repute acquired before 1980. A noted Belgian private collector, acquired from the above.
