A Savoyard-type close helmet - dating: 16th Century - provenance: Italy, Skull in two halves, with a rosette at the top, fluted decorations and engravings with rayed double lines at the upper part; raisable chanfrin and brim, ribbed ventail, rectangular eye slots and small triangular open-work, beaver with hook; three-plate neck-guard and gorget, provided with upper borders featuring a notch like the chanfrin, hemmed lower border. Each part with double-line decorations. height 28 cm.
